Fertilization is key element in keeping the lawn thick and a nice green looking color. When it comes to fertilizer there is some key thing that you have to know. The most important is what ingredients around being put down. This is determined by the weight in the bag or liquid form. The three major nutrients in a fertilizer: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The label reads N-P-K for what percentage is in the bag.
In Minnesota it’s against the law to put down phosphorus on the lawn unless under a certain circumstances. Andy's Lawn Care provides a pound of nitrogen for every 1,000 sq ft of lawn. We also recommend that during the year four pounds of nitrogen is applied to the yard to provide optimal growth and appearance.
